Description:
Florence at dusk is a very special moment. The light is magical, the crowds have left and we begin to get our city back…we will take a stroll through central Florence passing Piazza della Signoria which is dominated by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, and here we find some of Italy’s finest Renaissance sculptures…. The Perseus , the Rape of the Sabine, the Neptune fountain, the equestrian statue of Cosimo I Medici. We can proudly call this square an outstanding open air museum.
A short walk away is the Ponte Vecchio, with its quaint jewelry shops and breathtaking views. After crossing the Ponte Vecchio we arrive in the Oltrarno (the other side of the Arno river) a very quaint part of Florence with its bars and restaurants. After enjoying a view of the Palazzo Pitti, the last residence of the Medici family, we will walk a short distance to Piazza Santo Spirito where you can enjoy a nice prosecco.
